Countries with the largest installed solar photovoltaic capacity, ranked by gigawatts (GW). China leads with over 1,200 GW — more than the rest of the top 10 combined. The United States trails far behind at 212 GW, with India, Germany, and Japan rounding out the top five.

Luxembourg leads the world with an ecological footprint of 15.82 global hectares per capita, followed by Qatar (10.80) and Australia (9.31). The United States ranks 5th at 8.40 gha per capita.
